Lebron James finally did it. After years public ridicule and being told he can never bring a championship to Cleveland, he silenced all the haters and basked in the glory of his beloved city. For the city of Cleveland, it was also a moment to remember as we all know Cleveland’s trials and tribulations when it comes to their sports team. As you can expect, there was a lot of emotion in Lebron’s speech and yeah he dropped a couple of F-bombs here and there as well. Some can say it was bit braggadocios, but in my opinion it came straight from the heart and he took time to single out each of his teammates and explain why they meant so much to the team. He also had time to take a shot at Steph Curry in the process. He praises Love for his defensive effort on Curry in the final minute of the game, mentions how it was on two-time MVP and basically gives this sort of look

He does make a very good point though. People will talk about the block Lebron made or the shot that Irving hit, but it was the defensive effort by Love, who has long been viewed as mediocre at best while playing defense that sealed that victory. When we look back at this championship, the block is what will be remembered, but Lebron is showing he is not as selfish as everyone makes him out to be. He will praise his teammates and show the world that he wouldn’t have gotten here without them. People are still going to try and find a way to hate on the guy, even with that.

In the video, Lebron is referencing the first time he met the Cavaliers center Timofy Mozgov. The 7′ 1” Russian center is mammoth of a man and Lebron had no problem talking about how big of a motherfucker he is when they met in person. For now, the city of Cleveland is finally on top of the mountain, a city that has been on the wrong side of the sports gods for years. Their time has finally come and they are going to celebrate this like there is no tomorrow. Just take a look at all the faces and tell me they haven’t been waiting for this day for years.
